Three experienced climbers from America are set to climb Mt. Thinchinkhang situated at an altitude of 21,035 feet near Mt. Kanchanzonga, world’s third highest peak.
The US climbers began their mountain expedition from West Sikkim this morning. The trio ~ Mr Bruce Kocka (62), Mr Ric Devan (45) and Mr Thomas Richie (63) ~ have already started trekking from Yuksom towards Dzongri in West Sikkim to scale the peak. They will cross through various high altitude hamlets, flora and fauna and hot springs before reaching their destination. “Earlier, Nepal was the only the place to explore mountains. Now, Sikkim has become the second favourite place for mountaineers,” said Mr Bruce Kocka who is leading the team to sikkim expedition.

Dear Bruce,
Namaste from Sikkim.
It is so good that I found your site.
It reminds me of your visit to Sikkim and all the adventure you had. I still have fond memories of celebration and dancing in Yuksam at the end of your trip.
I hope to see you in future.
All best wishes,
Yours friend,
Satish.
