US climbers set to climb Mt. Thinchinkhang ,Sikkim


Bruce KockaThree experienced climbers from America are set to climb Mt. Thinchinkhang situated at an altitude of 21,035 feet near Mt. Kanchanzonga, world’s third highest peak. The US climbers began their mountain expedition from West Sikkim this morning. The trio ~ Mr Bruce Kocka (62), Mr Ric Devan (45) and Mr Thomas Richie (63) ~ have already started trekking from Yuksom towards Dzongri in West Sikkim to scale the peak. They will cross through various high altitude hamlets, flora and fauna and hot springs before reaching their destination. “Earlier, Nepal was the only the place to explore mountains. Now, Sikkim has become the second favourite place for mountaineers,” said Mr Bruce Kocka who is leading the team to sikkim expedition.

Hi Bruce,

Just read your report. We met on your descend and we also successfully climbed the beautiful mountain.

I guess after us nobody did again since I couldn’t find any other information on the web.
